MRI
Remove all metal. No special diet. Contrast may be used.
Open MRI
Remove all metal. Companion can stay in the room.
CT Scan
May require fasting. Oral or IV contrast may be used.
Mammogram
No deodorant, powders, or lotions on exam day.
Ultrasound
Varies by exam type. Full bladder may be required.
DEXA
No calcium supplements 24 hours before. No special diet.
X-Ray
Remove jewelry from the area. No special prep.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most exams require a physician's order. Some screening exams (like screening mammograms for women 40+) may be self-referred depending on your insurance. Call us to check.
Bring your photo ID, insurance card, physician's order/referral, and any prior imaging CDs if from another facility.
X-rays take 10-15 minutes. CT scans 15-30 minutes. MRIs 30-60 minutes. We'll give you a time estimate when you schedule.
Results are sent to your referring physician within 48 hours. Stat reads are available same-day for urgent cases.
Yes. Request a CD of your images at the front desk after your exam, or call us to arrange pickup.
We have an Open MRI designed for anxious patients. You can also bring a companion, listen to music, or ask your doctor about a mild sedative.
