Research Imaging Partner
High-field 3T MRI, cardiac-compatible CT, mammography, DEXA body composition, and AI-enhanced analysis — available to research partners who need reliable outpatient imaging capacity in Pinellas County.
Growing inbound research interest · Formal partnership capacity expanding
Why research teams contact AMI
Sponsors, investigators, and device/AI teams increasingly need outpatient imaging partners with modern equipment — not just hospital departments with multi-month backlogs. AMI operates 3 Tesla MRI, cardiac-compatible CT pathways, 3D mammography, DEXA composition, and AI-assisted analysis tools that map cleanly to many study endpoints.
We already see regular inbound interest for research imaging. This page is the public front door: share your protocol needs, and we will respond with feasibility, site options, and next-step requirements (IRB, contracts, data use, and scheduling model).
Research-relevant equipment & capabilities
3 Tesla MRI
High-field 3T MRI with advanced neuro, MSK, prostate, and research-ready sequences — including fMRI capability for specialized protocols.
Cardiac-compatible CT
Cardiac CTA pathways with Cleerly AI coronary plaque analysis — useful for cardiovascular research and risk-stratification studies.
3D Mammography
Digital breast tomosynthesis for breast imaging research and screening/diagnostic protocols under appropriate oversight.
DEXA body composition
Bone density and body composition analysis for metabolic, aging, sports science, and interventional research endpoints.
AI-enhanced analysis
NeuroQuant brain volumetrics, OnQ Prostate, and Cleerly cardiac AI where protocol-appropriate for quantitative endpoints.
CT & multi-modality
High-resolution CT, ultrasound, X-ray, and complementary modalities under one local imaging partner.
Who this is for
Clinical trials & sponsors
- Protocol-driven imaging at defined timepoints
- Consistent acquisition across visits when feasible
- Local access for Tampa Bay / Pinellas participants
Investigator-initiated studies
- University and private-practice research partners
- Quantitative imaging biomarkers where available
- Flexible scheduling for study windows
Device & AI validation
- High-field MRI and cardiac CT for algorithm training/validation (with proper agreements)
- Structured reporting and AI-assisted metrics
- Secure data handling discussions under BAA/DUA as required
How research partnerships work
Protocol review
Share your imaging protocol, inclusion criteria, and visit schedule. We confirm feasibility against equipment and staffing.
Compliance-first
HIPAA-aligned operations. Research use of data requires appropriate agreements, IRB oversight, and patient authorization as applicable.
Clear documentation
Board-certified reads and, where ordered, quantitative AI outputs that support study endpoints — not just qualitative blurbs.
Reliable access
Outpatient scheduling that can accommodate study windows better than overloaded hospital systems for many ambulatory protocols.
Quality equipment
3T MRI, cardiac CT pathways, 3D mammo, DEXA composition — the stack sponsors and investigators actually ask about.
Local partnership
A Pinellas-based center that can move quickly on inquiries. Research interest is rising — we are building formal capacity to match it.
What to include in your inquiry
- Study title, phase (if trial), and PI / sponsor contacts
- Modalities, body regions, and approximate number of subjects / visits
- Imaging protocol or imaging charter excerpts (sequences, contrast, timepoints)
- IRB status and any required credentialing or training for technologists
- Data deliverables (DICOM, reports, AI quantitative outputs, de-identification needs)
- Target start date and geography of enrolled participants

Research imaging FAQs
Can AMI support clinical trial imaging?+
Yes — depending on protocol requirements, modality, and staffing. Contact us with the protocol synopsis, imaging manual excerpts, and expected volume. We will confirm what we can support and any constraints.
What research modalities are available?+
3T MRI (including advanced neuro/MSK/prostate pathways and fMRI capability), cardiac-compatible CT / coronary CTA with Cleerly AI where appropriate, 3D mammography, DEXA bone density and body composition, ultrasound, X-ray, and related outpatient imaging.
Do you have NeuroQuant, OnQ, or Cleerly for quantitative endpoints?+
Yes. NeuroQuant brain volumetrics, OnQ Prostate, and Cleerly cardiac AI are available on appropriate clinical pathways. Research use must be protocol-approved and contractually defined.
Is research imaging the same as clinical self-pay imaging?+
No. Clinical care imaging and research imaging have different consent, billing, data-use, and oversight requirements. We separate clinical patient care from research partnerships and will not treat research data use casually.
How do I start a research imaging conversation with AMI?+
Email or call with: study title, sponsor/PI, modalities needed, approximate subject volume, visit schedule, and any imaging charter/protocol pages. We respond with feasibility and next steps.
Where are research scans performed?+
Primarily at our Seminole flagship (full multi-modality) and St. Pete 3T MRI location for high-field MRI protocols. Specific site selection depends on the protocol.
Research partnerships are subject to equipment availability, staffing, appropriate contracts (including BAA/DUA as required), IRB/ethics approvals, and clinical appropriateness. This page is informational and does not constitute an offer to participate in any specific study. Clinical care decisions remain with treating physicians and study investigators.
